Current Project: Open Sky Proposal
Status: everything pretty much ready except for 2nd half of chapter three
How's everyone doing? I've spent the week ironing out issues with all three books. They're finally beginning to seem like three separate but important parts of a whole, so that's a relief. Who knows if they'll sell -- whether they do or not, creating them has been an experience worth having.
I'm writing this before I leave for Vancouver for the Michael Hague Portland Winter Intensive this weekend and have purposely put off finishing the proposal, anticipating that I'll hear something over the next two days that will cause an aha moment. I want to be open to making changes.

I had a good week. Things came together and I'm steadily heading to the "The End".
I don't have my notebook with me to see exactly how many words I managed this week, but it was a good chunk, close to 8,000.
I have three days before the retreat to hopefully get me within striking distance of finishing during the retreat. We'll see. If I can do that I'll be ahead of schedule.

This was an easy writing week for me. I intentionally took some down time and am getting on a schedule more in tune with sanity. This is new territory for me!
I'm doing research for my 2011 St. Patrick's novella. Found some fascinating information on time travel--at least until I ran into mathematical formulas. Then my eyes rolled back in my head and I stopped. LOL!
Next research topic is quirky wars. If any of you have suggestions, please let me know. Since this is for a humorous story, the events will be twisted into a humorous perspective. In fact, I may just make up wars that no one ever heard of.
That should give me enough material to draft scene sheets for the novella over the next week and dig into actually writing the story. Woo-hoo! Looking forward to it!

This week I turned in revisions for ENTWINED. And like Alice, I'm getting geared up to get back to work on TEMPTED after the weekend workshop. Lots of aha! moments for sure. :)
Paty -- Sounds as though you're getting a lot done! I hope next weekend works out well.

Jim and I were happy to participate in the Valentine's Day book launch for Genene and Chris last Sunday. Now today I see Paty has a release date for Spirit of the Mountain--Congratulations, Paty! I'm looking forward to reading your Spirit trilogy. And Eli has turned in the revisions for Entwined and sold three more books. Congratulations, Eli! You go girl. Hooray for Debbie who is facing each day unencumbered by her day job--go, Debbie! And Alice has taken hold of her new trilogy project--I hope it sells, Alice! I bet it will. You're all doing so great, and I miss you.

Congrats to all on your productive weeks. Grading/Work/Toddlerhood/Pregnancy are continuing to cut into my productivity and the Olympics has stolen the rest.
This week, I'm going to finish my Golden Heart Judging before I head to the retreat and bang out 10,000 words. I've done it twice before at retreats (hitting 9,000 and 12,000 respectively), so I know I can do it. It'll be my version of the biathlon--you know, run, run, run, run, SHOOT! and hope you hit the target :)
Oh, and if anyone has any spare get-well vibes for Tavy, it would be appreciated! She has a little cold and cough, and I'm just hoping it either gets better or no worse so that I can leave this weekend. And that I don't get sick!
