Challenge Check-In

Current Project: Faith's Book
Status: Chapter Two

It's that time again. How's it going? Are you up against a locked gate, or do you hold the key to open it and keep on going?

I'm on Chapter Two after YET AGAIN revamping Chapter One. The project is currently called Faith 11 because that's how many formal files exist just because of Chapter One. I've topped my old record by far. So much for the advantage of experience, every book is different. So, I guess you could say I'm digging in my pockets for the key -- sometimes it seems I left it back in another coat or on the counter...

How are you doing? Meeting goals? Forming new ones? Those of you doing NaMo (did I get that right?) are about to begin the last two weeks. Are you satisfied with your progress? With me, currently, it's not writing a lot of words that's the issue, it's writing the right words.

I hope everyone thinks to check in today. Here's hoping you all have a great weekend!

Saturday Check in

Hey all! How did your week go? Did you accomplish what you wanted? More? Less?

I didn't write near as much as I wanted, about 4000 words. I was hoping for five times that. Hopefully this next week will work out better. But Wavy will be proud of me. I read three books this week! I had two to read for final edits and one was an EPPIE entry. That's why I didn't get as much writing done this week. Plus buzzing over the mountain for the meeting. It always takes away from my writing time, but it refuels and re-ignites my writing flame when I get back.

Only one more week until NaNo. How many of you are participating?

Check-In!

Hoppy Easter!!!

*Quack, Quack*

(Do you know how hard it is for me to put a duck picture up on the blog?????)

Kendra emailed me and pointed out no one posted a challenge check-in yesterday (Paty? Paty? Are you out there?), so I'm taking over. It's 9:51 am, my kids have been up since six, I've had coffee and my fair share of hard boiled eggs. Now I'm sitting down to *try* to write before we head over to G'ma's house for Easter dinner. (Good luck...the Gremlins are on a sugar high already.)

So how did you do this week? I admit my week was not as productive as I would have liked. The kids were off school due to conferences, my girlfriend and I took them to Black Butte for a few days to chill, but they proceeded to argue and make noise and I ended up entertaining them more than I did writing. Total word count was only 8553 for the week. This week they're home for spring break and the forecast is calling for rain, so we'll see how much I get done, cooped up in the house with them. (Aye ya ya...) Gotta make sure I hit that 10 pages per day so I can get this thing done and move on to my revisions.

How did you do this week?
