Weekly Progress Check-In

Welcome!  This is the Mid-Willamette Valley RWA chapter's weekly progress check-in.

Did you meet your writing goals last week?  What do you plan to accomplish this week?

(The best prize is achieving your writing goals, but as an extra incentive, we will award gift cards from Powell's bookstore to the chapter member and the non-member who check in for the most weeks in 2012.)

weekly progress...

Gee, I'm so giddy for Deb, I forgot.

Let's see: I'm staying in the top 40 in Romance Series with The Honeymoon Cottage. That's good news. Now I need to get In Deep Water revised and up by April 15th. So that's what I need to work on this week. I've worked out a slightly different twist on the mystery ending, so will have to change some things to make that work.

Also will be scheduling a few online workshops for the chapter, so if you have any suggestions, email me at the link below!

And will be visiting Oregon in May. Plan to be at the May meeting, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Happy writing, everyone! :-)

Top 40!!! Barb that is HUGE!!!!!!

Deborah Wright said...

Thanks ladies! Yeah, this was the book I finished during NaNo. I still haven't quite taken it in. ;-)

Barb -- Top 40 is huge! Congratulations!

As for me -- I'm celebrating today and then tomorrow I start in on the revisions I need to make to the book.

Just to clarify--top 40 in Romance Series, not in Romance overall. I'm making enough to cover the conference and the plumbing bill, not quite enough to buy that yacht yet....

Good luck on meeting this week's goals, everyone!

Yay, Debbie!!!!

Congrats, Barb!! Wow all this good news!

I'm slowly plugging away at the WIP and getting ready to go to the Spring Intensive this weekend put on my RCRW in Vancouver WA. They have several workshops on self and e-publishing.

Good job everyone!

Big revelations here...in a good way. Not much writing, but my new understanding of my writing journey has opened a door...like a big maze of mystery, "open sesame!"

Deborah Wright said...

Thanks Paty! Sounds like you're very busy, but then, when aren't you busy? :-)

Barb, I agree with Genene -- that's still awesome. And you have 2 lovely reviews on Amazon!

Meggan -- yay! for new understandings. Don't you love it when you have those lightbulb/epiphany moments?

Meggan McQuaid said...

Yes! I loooove epiphanies!

I also love all the good news this week. I'm feeling like a member of the entourage of the famous writers...Golden Heart and top 40, and no matter what you say, Barb, making enough to pay for conference is COOL.

Oh MAN I wish I could go! I REALLY want to see Deb on stage or whatever, getting her well-deserved national props!

All this good news gets my motor going.
