Weekly Progress Check-In

Welcome!  This is the Mid-Willamette Valley RWA chapter's weekly progress check-in.

Did you meet your writing goals last week?  What do you plan to accomplish this week?

(The best prize is achieving your writing goals, but as an extra incentive, we will award gift cards from Powell's bookstore to the chapter member and the non-member who check in for the most weeks in 2012.)

Good Morning! I did get a little writing done--about two paragraphs!--and a lot of thinking about ideas for that scene. This week I am starting the taxes, dealing with some mortgage issues, etc, but I'm primed to write, so that will get done too.

Genene and Deb, I loved our discussion Thursday about genres, recalcitrant stories, and plotting. I always learn so much about my own writing when I hear you talk about yours. Thanks for being so willing to share with a newbie.

Have a great week!

Hey, Meggan! At least you got some words down on paper. I also enjoyed our discussion on Thursday. Always lots of good thoughts!

And I also got back to work on my series after launch day for the first book. I'm doing edits on book #5 and it feels really good. More edits this week as well as continuing promotion and updates to blogs and my Web site.

Hope everyone has a productive week!

Meggan, every word, every sentences, every paragraph builds your story so each one is a bonus.

Genene, You are so focused on this series. I enjoy seeing your enthusiasm.

Still in research mode. I find the more I research, the more I think I need to know. I'm waiting for some books and a map to come to help with the research and then I can get down to writing.

My goodnews... I'm a finalist in the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence for my paranormal historical Spirit of the Lake. Pretty happy and excited about that. Just being a finalist is an honor.

This week I hope to start writing the second action adventure for sure.

Happy writing all!
