Weekly Progress Check-In

Welcome!  This is the Mid-Willamette Valley RWA chapter's weekly progress check-in.

Did you meet your writing goals last week?  What do you plan to accomplish this week?

(The best prize is achieving your writing goals, but as an extra incentive, we will award gift cards from Powell's bookstore to the chapter member and the non-member who check in for the most weeks in 2012.)

Hi, all! Did edits from my publisher last week, including one scene I changed because a better way occurred to me as I thought about this particular character. Perhaps the reason for deadlines is so the author will quit picking at the story! LOL!

I also finaled the cover for book #4 of my LEGACY series and sent it to my publisher with the manuscript. And I worked on the Web pages and blog for the launch of my series on March 1--which will occupy most of my time this week.

Only ten days until launch time--not that I'm panicking or anything! Well, perhaps a teensy bit in the middle of the night when my "to do" database threatens to become overwhelming. :)

Mostly I'm excited about sharing the characters and stories that have occupied a good portion of my time the last few years. I have a new blog dedicated to this series and have started the countdown to release day. Please visit if you have the time.

There will be lots more coming, including those new Web pages I'll be working on this week, lots of information about my LEGACY characters and the fictional town of Halo, Oregon, and contests!

Oh yeah, I'll get back to writing more adventures of the O'Shea family after launch day. :)

Hope you all have a productive writing week!

Hey Genene! You've been busy! I've been mainly working on promo stuff. My flash fiction Valentine story of 1500 words on Romance by the genre-istas www.RomanceFromTheGenre-istas.blogspot.com has turned into a 10,000 word story that will soon be up for free on my website and blog.

Once that is cleaned up, then I have to get Mayan Moon ready to format and get started on my Aztec book.

Good luck everyone!

Hi, Paty! Yeah, I've had a few things to do. :)

Very cool that you'll soon have another free read on your sites. Looking forward to your Mayan and Aztec stories!
