Weekly Progress Check-In

Today is Monday, November 28, 2011.

This is the final "official" weekly check-in of the year!  Post in the comments how your year went, and let us know if you met your own personal writing goals.

We will announce winners of non-member prizes soon, so check back to see if your name is posted as a winner.

Our chapter members will receive prizes at our holiday party in December.

Congratulations on all your hard work this year.  We'll post weekly check-ins for the month of December as well, for those who are writing through the holidays.  Be sure to come back the first Monday in January to set new goals for 2012.

Still working on my goals! I need to finished Logger in Petticoats by mid December. I'm pushing to get that done.

I won't make the meeting this week. I forgot I told my daughter I'd babysit while she and hubby went to the State Police Ball. So Friday I have to be on the other side of the state.

Bummer, Paty! I was hoping to see you at the meeting.

Good job on pushing forward with LOGGER IN PETTICOATS!

I'm doing same thing as previous weeks: promotion and edits.

Dec. 1 is the reissue date of the third book of my Rock'n'Romance trilogy: THE LEADER OF THE BAND. So more blog appearances this week. And I also want to finish edits to the third book of my new LEGACY series. A week of threes, so that should be good luck!

Good work Paty and Genene! Congrats on the release, Genene!

Finished edits last week, all queries sent out, sent out Golden Heart, then took a deep breath and took three days off as my first "writing holiday" since May 1st. Got back to it Saturday and decided that 3 days is probably the max I should ever take off if possible :) I got another 1,100 words or so in my WIP. This week is tough with grading and finals so I'm just aiming for 2000 words.

At the start of the year, I didn't HAVE writing goals. I'd pretty much given up temporarily on my goals. But, I started up the book review blog, realized that yes indeedy I could get around 1,000 words a day. And my muse came back and said she wasn't satisfied with the book reviews. So in May I made the goal of Finishing a book by Sept. 1st. And I made it. Then I made my editing goals. I didn't make my long shot goal of having the new WIP done by GH time, but I have a new goal of having it done by Feb. 1st and I think that's very realistic.

GREAT WORK EVERYONE!
