What are you reading right now?

Current Project:
Status:

This is going to be a very short, very late blog, but I'm also hoping it's a bit fun too. We haven't talked books in a while, so let's take a brief questionnaire:

1) Book you are currently reading
2) Last book you finished
3) Last book you passed on to a friend
4) Last author/book you recommended to someone
5) Last book you bought new
6) Book(s) you want to buy next
7) Last book you bought as a gift
8) Current number of books in your TBR pile
9) Last book you received from someone else (used, trade, swap, five-away, gift etc) that you loved
10) Spring/Summer release(s) that you can't wait to read

Answer some or all as you like!

Wavy -- Better late than never -- I enjoyed your post.

1) Book you are currently reading: Anne Rice's latest , Angel times. Having lots of trouble reading RS and straight romance.
2) Last book you finished: "Marked" by Elisabeth Naughton (fantastic!) (I got an advance copy!!!)
3) Last book you passed on to a friend: I don't generally pass books
4) Last author/book you recommended to someone: Eli's
5) Last book you bought new: "Seekers" for my grandson
6) Book(s) you want to buy next: I won't know it til' I see it!
7) Last book you bought as a gift Besides: "Seekers," there is "The Accidental Zombie" for the same kid (gotta love the premise. 10 0r 11 year old boy is miserable in his life so his friend gives him something her scientist uncle is working on that takes away all pain rendering him a zombie. He no longer feels anything, however, he's almost all the way dead and that causes new issues. I love the in your face metaphor of this book.
8) Current number of books in your TBR pile: I can't count that high
9) Last book you received from someone else (used, trade, swap, five-away, gift etc) that you loved: "Marked" (did I mention it's dedicated to moi?
10) Spring/Summer release(s) that you can't wait to read: Mary Daheim's latest mystery -- it was supposed to come out last year and was delayed which has me worried she has health problems!

1) Book you are currently reading - THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan
2) Last book you finished - A BABY BETWEEN THEM by Alice Sharpe (GREAT book! My favorite of Alice's books to date.)

4) Last author/book you recommended to someone - A vampire book I judged for the RITAs that I was telling my running partners about. Can't remember the name of the book or author - don't slap me!
5) Last book you bought new - THE LAST OLYMPIAN by Rick Riordan (for my daughter's birthday)
6) Book(s) you want to buy next - HIS DARKEST HUNGER by Juliana Stone. I've already read it but I want to get her autograph in Nashville (we have the same agent and this is her first book.)
7) Last book you bought as a gift - THE LAST OLYMPIAN (see above)
8) Current number of books in your TBR pile - No idea. They're scattered all over the house.

10) Spring/Summer release(s) that you can't wait to read - Not a real "release" but I'm DYING to read more in the book my CP is writing. But she's being stingy with the chapters. (grrrrrrr....)

1) Book you are currently reading:
Not So Inoccent by Laura Lee Ghurke (It's an older book by Laura I got from the library. It's great so far.)

2) Last book you finished:
Captain Of All Pleasures by Kresley Cole (also an older book from the library. It was really fun.)

3) Last book you passed on to a friend:
Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton

4) Last author/book you recommended to someone:
The STOLEN Series by Elisabeth Naughton

5) Last books you bought new:
Stolen Seduction by Elisabeth Naughton (awesome series, btw)
The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins (love her stuff)

6) Book(s) you want to buy next:
Flirting With Forever by Gwyn Cready; Ten Things I Love About You by Julia Quinn; My Dangerous Duke by Gaelen Foley; Promise Me Tonight by Sara Lindsey; Proof By Seduction by Courtney Milan; and Elisabeth Naughton's ETERNAL GUARDIANS series, but they don't come out until, like, FOREVER! *rolling eyes*

7) Last book you bought as a gift:
First four books in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians Series by Rick Riordan (I bought the whole set for my 10-year-old son; he got them today and he was sooo big happy.)

8) Current number of books in your TBR pile:
On my TBR "Immediately" pile there are only 7. On my TBR "at some point" pile...Sheeyeah. Right. It's a 5 tier book shelf. *blush* I'm only going to admit to 156. Nuff said.

9) Last book you received from someone else (used, trade, swap, five-away, gift etc) that you loved:
An ARC of MARKED by Elisabeth Naughton; yeah, it's freakin' amazing and I can't wait for the rest of this series! I also recieved The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley, from Eli, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet because of the library books I have to finish first. *Hey Bethany, what's a "five-away?*

10) Spring/Summer release(s) that you can't wait to read:
See #6 for details. ;)

I feel like a slacker, but I guess I should say that I actually read two books this week, they are contacted and not released yet: Lost hearts by Kathy Otten (highly recommend) and Guardian Bride by Lauri Robinson (again great read) So even though it looks like I don't read... I do read.

Thanks for playing everyone! I finally have enough time to answer too:

1) Book you are currently reading-- Back in Black by Lori Foster. Her latest and a treat to myself :)
2) Last book you finished--I just finished re-reading Out of Control by Suzanne Brockmann for the millionth time. It's my form of comfort reading.
3) Last book you passed on to a friend--I'm *about* to pass Proof of Seduction to Becky tomorrow night :)
4) Last author/book you recommended to someone--I recommend Eli and Alice to anyone who will listen :) Just recommended Brockmann to a student last night.
5) Last book you bought new--Back in Black had a 30% of sticker at the campus book store which made it equivalent to chocolate & a snack. I'd read so many good things about it, so I decided to wait on the chocolate :)
6) Book(s) you want to buy next--I still want to get Tessa Dare's 3rd novel and there are about 20 books that I want to read from watching the RITA nominations.
7) Last book you bought as a gift--The Pregnancy Book by Dr. Sears for a new-mama-to-be
8) Current number of books in your TBR pile--off the shelf, into the boxes, down the hall . . . It's out of control, and yet not that much of it is appealing at the moment
9) Last book you received from someone else (used, trade, swap, five-away, gift etc) that you loved--My mom sent me The Village Bride of Beverly Hills--very cute.
10) Spring/Summer release(s) that you can't wait to read--Marked is already on my shopping list, and Julia Spencer Fleming FINALLY has a new book out (like Alice, I've been worried that this author might have health issues or something), Megan Whalen Turner also has something new out (she spends like 5 years per book!!!), Suzanne Brockmann has a new book out this summer as well, and I know there are others I'm excited by and forgetting.
