Everyone must be out enjoying this beautiful day! At least, I hope it's a beautiful day where you are. I apologize if I'm stepping on toes by tossing out the challenge check-in. Or was it decided not to worry about this for awhile and I missed that discussion? LOL!

Is everyone between projects or in the brainstorming process? I'm making progress on plotting my nine-book series. At this point, I'm not pushing, but letting the ideas flow and jotting down lots of notes. The push will come in the next few days and weeks, as I plan to complete a detailed outline (a series "Bible," if you will) of each story by the end of June.

I also jotted down a detailed outline for a newsletter article this morning in between doing laundry. You never know when inspiration will strike!

How/what is everyone else doing?

3000 words this week! Woohoo!

I'm having computer issues. that's why I didn't get a challenge deck in thrown up today. I'm lucky my computer is cooperating this long!

I've uploaded my Monday blog because I'll be in Princeton. Who ever wants to can post it on Monday.

Way to go on the series process, Genene!

No toe stomping at all, Genene. Glad you posted it!

I finished revisions on book 2 this week, so I'm super thrilled with that. My agent sent me her few minor revision suggestions for my paranormal, and I'm doing that today and getting it off to her Monday. Then I'm getting serious about my 3rd book in my contract. I'm chomping to get deep in that one this week.

You are all over achievers.

I, however, am still waiting, toe tap, toe tap grimace. When I begin to think of all the writers I know who have stuff on my editor's desk (keeping in mind Intrigue is one editor short and one editor on maternity leave making mine the lone ranger) I know it's going to continue despite her best intentions. My heart goes out to her.

My hope this week is to start something. Another project, book two, something. I'm sick of free time and ready to work.

Congrats to the rest of you.

I worked on my WIP the first of this week and was delighted, then the rest of my week made a sharp turn south and I haven't been back to my WIP. So, after borrowing a nickel from Eli and making a goal it was instantly broken two days later. Do we give out ding-dong prizes for the shortest ever goal setting busts? If so, I'm in the running this month.

Still researching and world building over here. My challenge right now is the juxtaposition of science and magic combined with industrial age technology (ie: steam engine, hydropower, the first phone, radio waves, all that fun stuff that launched the world into modern glory... fascinating!).

Beautiful day, Genene? Not here. I don't know about you, Paty, but Bend has lightning and thunder and rain, oh my! I do love a good rain storm.

My brainstorming session is tomorrow at Barnes & Noble with my 3 writing friends. I'm really looking forward to it.

Wow! Good stuff going on all around!

Paty, congrats on the word count! Hope your computer decides to mend its wicked ways.

Eli, is the paranormal a new book separate from the three in your contract? Sorry! Not sure why my brain suddenly went dead on where that one fit into all that you are doing.

Alice, I can so relate to your toe tapping. But my writing hiatus was self-imposed to keep from becoming a raving lunatic from everything else that was going on. Wait, I did become a raving lunatic! Don't do that!

Aw, Lori, no self-noodle lashing! Goals are made to be flexible, right? Now get back on that wagon and work, work, work. :)

Karen, your research does indeed sound fascinating. Your thunderstorms may have headed west. It was beautiful and sunny here today, but has clouded up now with the smell of rain in the air. We'll see what tomorrow brings! Have fun with your brainstorming session!

Now I've got a couple other things to do, then I'm going to spend some time plotting. Can't wait!

Have a safe and productive holiday!
