I'm jumping in today hoping I'm not stealing someone else's thunder. How about another seven words or less story exercise to get started today?

I’ll go first.

Silent thief robs memories in one stroke.

Cemetery plot available. Apply on way out.

Even tides wash natures hurts.

Anyone else want to play?

Lori --

On my way out to tend to Mom but I'll give it a whirl:

For sale: piano. Blood stains removed.

"Hands up! My children are hungry..."

Gotta go. This is harder than it looks! I like yours...

Thong for sale. Only slightly used.

Condoms free to a good home: size extra small.

Dear Johnny. The baby used to be yours.

Based on the famous challenge presented to Earnest Hemingway, right? I loved his: Baby shoes for sale. Never used. Wow. Talk about powerful.

So, a short story using seven words or less? I played this game with my RMFW group. Darn it, I wish I could remember what I'd done. I'll have to come up with something new.

She signed her name. Now she's rich.

I'll try to think of another one later. Flash fiction is not for the long-winded, lol!

Thought I'd try two more.

Shackles broken. Freedom chased. Borders ahead.

Re-hinged innocence lost in blood soaked footprints.

Death comes easily when Government screws up.

Roses, chocolates, a card. He's guilty.

Roses, chocolates, a ring. He's fallen.

Best I could come up with. Interesting exercise.

I actually saw this on a grocery store bulletin board on the Coast:

Wedding dress for sale. Never worn.

Child missing. No reward. Keep him.

Barbara, I love yours too. I wrote one about a wedding also.

Wedding day stolen. Promises lost. Life altered.
