Eli's Challenge

I hope I am not stepping on blogging etiquette's toes by posting here all the time. If I am, please, someone contact me and tell me to knock it off.

Meanwhile, how is it coming? Karen? Lisa? Eli? Lori? Paty? Did I forget someone?

2,348 words today. Helps make up for a lackluster yesterday.

Hope everyone else is feeling good about what they've accomplished.

Zippo words so far today. It was a work day. Two clients needed calendars. Do you know what a pain it is to design a calendar from scratch? Ugh. And one of them wanted all 12 months of 2008 on a 6" x 6" sticker. And I had photoshop an ad for an art framing company that wanted a skiier racing down a hill between 2 flags (gates), each flag being a scenic photo of central oregon. The skiier was a photo and by the time I finished, it looked a lot different from the stock image I started with.

Hubby is sick and came home from work early. I ordered dinner from Bend Takeout (one of mankind's greatest inventions, IMO) and am waiting for our shrimp fajita burritos and salmon tacos to be delivered to my doorstep. Yum!

I will write tonight, but it will be nowhere near my 750 word goal. Sigh.

Karen -- Ack, I feel your pain (mitigated, of course, by the yummy sounding dinner arriving at your doorstep with nothing but a phone call and a check.)

Tomorrow is a new day...and I have to point out that writing books is my day job. I couldn't do what you do and write, too. I don't know how you do it.

No words for me on Tuesday. I did my office stuff. (e-mails, blogs and such) managed to work on edits I received from my editor on OIP and then had a local writers board meeting, and then headed to Salem for the chapter meeting.

I hope to get through the edits today and get some writing on the WIP in either tonight or tomorrow as I pack and get ready for our trip to Anchorage.

If I can get some writing in while I'm up there, I'll let you know when I get back how many words I made.

Paty -- Have a safe trip (and a fun one.) And good luck writing.

Wow nice job Eli!!! Wow Karen, I can't even comprehend how you would go about doing that. Graphic design amazes me!

I wrote 459 words yesterday. I have a paper to write for class today, then hopefully I'm not too wiped to work on my book. I'm getting to some good stuff, I want to write write write!

Alice, I do both because the writing is what keeps me sane.

Oh, and the take out company delivered the wrong food. But they made it right, we just didn't get to eat until really late.

Paty, have a super safe trip to Alaska! Will you be back in time for The Nature of Words at COCC November 2&3?

Lisa, graphic design is not that great, believe me. It can be tedious and seldom fun, but it pays really well. Congrats on the word count! Good job! 8^)

I didn't tap out any words in my WIP Monday or Tuesday. I've got to get my head back into the book, but family comes first, and life keeps getting in the way.

Lori- Life does that, doesn't it?

Hahahhaa! Oopsie. I mean congrats ALICE not Eli. I said bravo to Eli on yahoo and she said it was Alice. I read wrong. So, yay Alice, boo Eli :p
